Tommy La Stella led an offensive explosion for Mississippi, Joey Terdoslavich homered for Gwinnett, Greg Ross had a stellar debut for Lynchburg, and Lucas Sims, Frank Lafreniere, and Josh Elander excelled in a doubleheader for Rome.

Mississippi and Lynchburg were off and rain ruined a Rome doubleheader, so Gwinnett was the only team in action, but solid outings from Omar Poveda and Cory Rasmus, coupled with another double from Joey Terdoslavich couldn't prevent them from losing.
