Not going to lie here, I was a huge Rev supporter and said he deserved every right to be the starting SS at the start of the year. I didnt think his defense was going to be as bad as it was, but after watching Simmons the last week I am officially jumping ship. Rev will be a good ball player, but he is a 2nd basemen, not a shortstop. Simmons is just something special in the field, and his bat has looked better than expected.
Outfielder Jorge Soler is expected to agree on a four-year deal before tomorrow, an industry source told George A. King III and Mike Puma of the New York Post. Meanwhile, the representative for Soler is calling to ask teams if their bids are final, sources tell Buster Olney of ESPN.com (via Twitter).
The Yankees, Cubs, Braves, and Dodgers have been among the most aggressive teams in their pursuit of Soler, according to Olney.

Didn't even know that the Braves were in on him...thoughts??

#Braves will skip Hudson tomorrow, minor ankle problem. Calling up Teheran for spot start. Hope Hudson can come back Wed vs Yankees#Braves don't want to take chances with Hudson favoring that ankle when coming off back surgery

Hudson said its bone chips in left ankle. Got cortisone shot yesterday. Seeing improvement from that. Said wed a possibility
Teams that have checked in with the Braves say their offense has been so good that, barring injuries, they're more likely to shop for an impact starting pitcher in July than a bat. But GM Frank Wren says: "We have a guy internally who's probably better than any arm who will be available, and that's Kris Medlen. He's never thrown over 120 innings in a season, so we've got to be careful with his innings. But if we feel we need a guy late in the season, we wouldn't be afraid to take him out of the bullpen and transition him into the rotation." In case you hadn't noticed, Medlen has the lowest WHIP (1.04) in a very talented Braves bullpen these days.
