The article makes reference to Prado and Schafer working out together. I really am excited to see how things play out in ST 2011.
Possibly one of the greatest things on his blog: "Frank Wren had another stellar week ( he is number 1 in the fantasy GM rankings at this stage ) by resigning my boy Eric Hinke, it’s amazing the difference team chemistry can make to the success of an organisation as seen this year. Ski was an integral part of this and I cant wait to see what he has install for us next year. He also signed Scott Linebrink, now I don’t know Scott personally but from what I hear he is a great addition and from what I have seen he is down right nasty. Im still sending Wags an email a week trying to persuade him not to retire but it’s not working."
Wren: "I don't see other really big moves right now, but you never know. We’ll be engaged and talking to teams. It’ll still be a productive [winter] meetings." Sure, Frank. Of course you aren't going to make a big move. Besides that, it sounds like they're really going to try to trade Kawakami and will look to improve their bench, but this is nothing new.
They might want to address the pitching first. Was hoping Werth would go to the AL.
Two questions: 1. How would Wren make this trade happen? 2. How did this become public because all of us know that Wren likes the play it quiet?
Looks like the Red Sox are making a big push to land A-Gon, an it's lookin like it could happen this weekend... Hey, if it happens, at least we don't have to face him, right? LOL I'm gonna laugh if it turns into Tex 2.0 for them LMAO
Betemit is still one of my favorite's after watching him in MB for a couple years
Potential Yankees/Braves trades were discussed with the writers. Thanks again for the analysis guys!
Braves pitching prospect traded to the White Sox for set up man Scott Linebrink, Fox Sports confirms. Linebrink had success in the NL with Houston and San Diego. Dave O'Brien reports the White Sox are also sending $2.5 million cash making his 2011 salary $3 million.
Payroll summation The Braves seem to have about $3-$5 million remaining to spend. This figure could change if they are able to move Kawakami or possibly secure a multi-year deal that would provide a little less than the $10 million figure he's projected to receive via arbitration this year. whattttt? kk is going through arb. and will get 10 not 7?
