The injury bug just keeps biting the Braves.
After the losses of Adonis Garcia and Freddie Freeman, it would be nice to go a 24 hour period without a member of the roster (major or minor leagues) being put on the DL. However, it was not to be on this day as the Braves placed veteran Eric O’Flaherty on the disabled list.
The Braves have placed LHP Eric O'Flaherty on the 10-day DL due to a lower back strain.

RHP Luke Jackson has been recalled from Gwinnett.
It is unclear as to the actual severity of the injury as well as whether or not this is a truly needed DL stint or just an excuse for the Braves to get some fresh blood in the bullpen. O’Flaherty’s best days are clearly behind him and in 18 games this season he has posted a 6.59 ERA and has given up homers in back to back appearances.
Luke Jackson will be making his second appearance with the Braves this season after making a short cameo appearance earlier in the season during which he appeared in 3 games and gave up 2 earned runs total. While down in Gwinnett however, Jackson has been using his electric stuff to good effect now that the experiment to transition him back to a starter appears to be over. He has made three appearances out of the bullpen and has given up just one earned run over those appearances (the numbers from his time as a starter got a bit ugly as he sported a 7.36 ERA after making 4 starts in AAA).
