Welcome to FanPost Friday!
This is a new idea that we want to try out over the next few weeks to see what the response will be. It works like this. We give you a thought or a question and you respond by writing a FanPost on said topic. We will either promote the best ones to the front page or combine them into some sort of recap post.
It will be fun and it is open to everyone!
This week’s topic: What is the most memorable Braves game that you attended?
Was it Game 6 of the 1995 World Series? Or perhaps when the worst to first 91 Braves clinched the division? No matter what game it was, set the scene for us and give us your perspective.
From a personal standpoint, I wasn’t fortunate enough to attend a lot of games when I was growing up. One that always stands out in my mind happened in 1989 on July 27. Atlanta defeated the San Francisco Giants 10-1 and scored all 10 runs in the sixth inning. Dale Murphy hit two homers in that sixth inning including a grand slam. Tom Glavine pitched eight strong innings and for a brief moment I forgot that the Braves were on their way to another last place finish.
