Other than a few rumors as to where Jose Bautista might end up or whether Brian Dozier might be traded from the Minnesota Twins, not much made the headlines in the week between Christmas and New Year’s Day around Major League Baseball.
With that being said, the floor is yours. What are you most looking forward to in 2017? How do you think the baseball season will unfold?
Will the Cubs bust the curse wide open and repeat as champs? The pieces are certainly still intact to be competitive next year and for years to come.
Will the Indians be able to remain at that high level? It’s been awhile since that franchise tasted a World Series, as the Cubs bumped them to the top of that drought list in October. They did add Edwin Encarnacion to the mix, so that should be fun.
How about other teams that could make a run? Are the Dodgers finally ready for primetime? Is another team going to rise from the ashes?
Let’s take some Braves predictions as well? Just how competitive will the Bravos be in 2017? The front office has said for a few years that the first year in SunTrust Park would be a crucial one, and one that would see a solid team take the field. Based on the additions of Bartolo Colon, RA Dickey and Jaime Garcia, are you convinced?
Here’s to hoping that 2017 is the best year yet for all of our readers. Take to the comments for what the next 365 days have in store!
