Braves trade Jeff Francoeur to Marlins in 3-team trade
The Atlanta Braves traded outfielder Jeff Francoeur to the Miami Marlins as part of a three-team trade acquiring a pair of minor leaguers. The Braves added minor league catcher Matt Foley from the Marlins and infielder Dylan Moore from the Texas Rangers. Atlanta also sent International Bonus Pool slot No. 93 to the Rangers in the deal.

Atlanta rallied for four runs in the ninth to force extra innings but an 11th inning sacrifice fly by Brandon Dury sent them to a 10-9 loss.
Braves recall Matt Wisler, Brandon Snyder, place Rob Whalen on disabled list
Following Wednesday’s game, the Braves placed pitcher Rob Whalen on the disabled list due to shoulder fatigue. He was closing in on an innings limit for this season and won’t return. The team recalled Matt Wisler to take Whalen’s spot on the roster and he will get the start on Thursday. The team also called up Brandon Snyder to take Jeff Francoeur’s spot on the roster.
Teheran struggling since coming off the DL
Julio Teheran still has not regained his form since returning from a DL stint due to a strained lat muscle. Teheran allowed 11 hits and six earned runs over six innings on Wednesday. He has allowed nine earned runs over 11 innings since returning from the disabled list.

Yoenis Cespedes plans to opt in this winter
Bob Klapisch and Matt Ehalt of The Bergen Record report that Mets outfielder Yoenis Cespedes won’t opt out of his contract this winter and plans to honor the remaining two-years on the three-year, $75 million deal that he signed with the Mets.
