Jhoulys Chacin went to spring training without guarantee and earned his way onto the opening day roster for the Atlanta Braves. Chacin made five starts in an Atlanta uniform and was traded Wednesday to the Anaheim Angels in exchange for prospect Adam McCreery.
On his way out, Chacin voiced his appreciation to the Braves for giving him an opportunity to pitch.
Thank you to the Atlanta Braves for having faith in me and giving me the opportunity to play. I will always be grateful.
