Atlanta keeping an eye on Matt Wieters
The market for free agent catcher Matt Wieters hasn’t developed this offseason and the price tag may be dropping. ESPN.com’s Jim Bowden reports that the Braves are continuing to monitor the situation.
The Minnesota Twins are shopping power hitting second baseman Brian Dozier to interested clubs around the league. The Braves were initially one of the teams that were rumored to have checked in on Dozier but that report was quickly refuted.

When they move into their new digs in April, the Braves will seek to replicate some of the success they enjoyed during their inaugural season at Turner Field, which opened in 1997 following the '96 Summer Olympics. That season, the Braves drew more than 3 million fans to the yard as they won 101 games, captured the National League East title and reached the NL Championship Series.

Cardinals ‘very much’ in talks for Brian Dozier
While the Braves may be out on Dozier, four teams are reportedly have had on going talks with the Twins including the St. Louis Cardinals.
The Cardinals are “very much in” talks for Twins second baseman Brian Dozier, according to a report from Darren Wolfson of KSTP. Wolfson adds that the Dodgers are “very much in” as well, with the Nationals and Giants remaining in dialogue with the Twins.
