After an off day for the Atlanta Braves, the baseball season "resumes" in Braves Country on Tuesday evening. Beyond that, however, there is plenty of baseball to consume across the big leagues, and in that vein, we take a look at some good, old-fashioned DFS.
SB Nation and FanDuel continue to partner on daily fantasy baseball, and we regularly bring you "recommended" lineups. Friday's schedule is jam-packed with action, and given that every MLB team in action, the match-ups provide big-time opportunities for success.
As usual, fading my picks may be your best option, so if you do that, I won't be offended in the slightest.
Note: This lineup would be used in a 7:05 pm ET contest.
P - Danny Salazar ($8,900)
C - Derek Norris ($3,100)
1B - Chris Davis ($3,400)
2B - Rougned Odor ($2,700)
3B - Josh Donaldson ($4,100)
SS - Jean Segura ($2,800)
OF - Andrew McCutchen ($4,200)
OF - Joc Pederson ($3,500)
OF - Andre Ethier ($2,200)
On a day with Chris Sale in action, it is risky to go elsewhere, but I am wary of a match-up against the Cardinals. With that, I'm going with a high upside play in Salazar. He is priced reasonably at less than $9,000 after some shaky outings, but given what his peak can resemble, it is worth the risk.
In the lineup, my big ticket plays are McCutchen (against the corpse of Justin Verlander), Donaldson (against a LHP in Toronto) and Pederson in a hitter's park against a right-hander. Aside from that trio, I always love Ethier against righties in good parks, and Chris Davis is capable of full-blown explosion against Colby Lewis Baltimore.
The slogan, as always, is to simply make money, and this lineup can (hopefully) help you get there. Let's do this together.
