(31-33) Gwinnett Braves 1, (33-33) Louisville Bats 4
- Eric Young Jr., LF: 3-4, 2B, 2 1B, RBI, .214/.353/.571
- Manny Banuelos, (L, 5-2), SP: 1-2, 1B, R; 5 IP, 6 H, 4 R (2 ER), 5 BB, 5 SO, 2.29 ERA
- Eury Perez, RF: 1-4, 1B, .294/.369/.376
- Sean Kazmar, 2B-SS: 1-3, 2B, BB, .293/.324/.371
The Braves could not take advantage with runners in scoring position as they go 1-10 with 8 left on base. Eric Young Jr was the one batter who came in the clutch by driving in the only run in the third inning. EYJ scored Manny Banuelos who led off the inning with a single. EYJ led both team with three hits (a double and two singles). Sean Kazmar connected with the second double for the Braves where Todd Cunningham, Eury Perez, and Adonis Garcia each picked up a single. Manny Banuelos didn't pitch terribly with just 6 hits and two earned runs, but he surrendered five walks while striking out five. Banuelos has walked at least one batter in every start, but this game was a season high in walks. His previous high was the first game with Gwinnett with 4 BBs. The bullpen did well with Carlos Fisher going two innings without a hit, run, and walk. He struck out two and sits at a 1.64 ERA with 22 innings of relief this season. Peter Moylan also came in for an inning while holding the opposition hitless and scoreless with two strikeouts.
Mississippi Braves
Mississippi had their first scheduled day off since May 26. After playing a five game series against Biloxi, the Braves are starting another five game series on the road versus the Tennessee Smokies. To start game one, Jake Brigham (last weeks TC minor league POW) will take the bump for Mississippi. Pierce Johnson is starting for the Smokies to make his second start of the season.

- Joseph Odom, C: 1-2, 2-R HR, 2 R, BB, .222/.270/.457
- Jacob Schrader, DH: 1-5, 1B, 2 RBI, .274/.306/.521
- Connor Lien, CF: 1-2, 2B, RBI, R, .304/.343/.444

- Seth Webster, (W, 3-2), SP: 7 IP, 7 H, 2 R, 0 BB, 3 SO, 2.91 ERA
This was an overall strong day for the Mudcats. The offense had a lot of positive takeaways with the team connecting with 11 hits. However, the Key committed 5 errors, but their pitching staff gave up only 3 unearned runs out of the 10 total runs. Sean Godfrey had a heck of a day by going 4-5 with a solo homer to begin the game and scattering three more singles throughout the game. He also scored every time he reached base. Joseph Odom launched the second home run of the game. Odom connected with a two run homer in the 4th inning for his fourth homer of the year. Carlos Franco, Joey Meneses, and Connor Lien each collected a double with a run scored. Jacob Schrader added to the lead by singling in two runs in the 4th. Pitching was another strong point for the Mudcats as Seth Webster went 7 strong. He allowed seven hits with two runs without a walk. He struck out two and lowered his ERA to 2.91. Matt Marksberry and Mauricio Cabrera each went one inning of relief without a run or walk. Marksberry allowed two hits but struck out two.
(29-36) Rome Braves 6, (42-22) Hickory Crawdads 7
- Joseph Daris, CF: 2-4, 2 1B, R, BB, .276/.332/.431
- Jordan Edgerton, 3B: 2-5, 2 1B, .290/.343/.393
- Matt Tellor, DH: 2-5, 2 1B, .169/.224/.242
- Justin Black 1-4, 1B, R, RBI, BB, .192/.267/.385
- Max Povse, SP: 7 IP, 6 H, 6 R, 2 BB, 4 SO, 2.91 ERA
- Francisco Gonzalez, (L, 1-1), RP: 3 IP, 3 H, 1 R, 0 BB, 3 SO, 3.09 ERA
After being down 6 runs going in the 6th, Rome battled back by picking up a run in the 6th and 6 runs in the 8th. The Braves were able to tie the game with their five run rally but sadly fell short of victory in the 10th with a home run by the Crawdads. Max Povse lasted 7 innings with 6 hits and 6 runs. He walked two and struck out four. This was Povse's longest start this season and also allowed a season high of runs allowed. Francisco Gonzalez had a strong outing by going three innings with three hits and one run scored...sadly it was the game winning run. He did not walk a batter and struck out three in the game. Offensively, the Braves were held quiet for over half of the game. Tanner Krietemeier scored the first run for Rome on a SAC fly. Rome took advantage of mistakes in the eighth. The Crawdads committed two wild pitches, one passed ball, and a throwing error. Rome had 3 walks and only two hits to score all five runs in the comeback inning. Jordan Edgerton, Matt Tellor, and Joseph Daris each had a pair of singles to tally six of the nine total Braves hits.
