Mississippi Braves didn't get on the board until the eighth inning with a RBI bunt single by Mallex Smith. The Braves scored the other three runs in the top of the ninth. Seth Loman started the inning after getting HBP, and KD Kang moved him along with a sharply hit single. Chris O'Dowd scored Loman with his first double of the game and fourth hit of the game. Emerson Landoni plated the last pair of runs on a 2 RBI single. O'Dowd moved his batting average to 0.441 with a 0.558 OBP and 0.793 SLG. Landoni finished with his second multi-hit game of the season while playing in 19 games thus far.

Carolina kept the ball rolling by picking up their ninth win in a row against the Hillcats. The Mudcats knocked the ball around and picked up 16 hits while doing so. Eric Garcia led the team by going a perfect 4-4 with all being singles and driving in two RBIs. Carlos Franco crushed a 2-run home run early in the game and finished by adding on another single with 4 RBIs in total. Sean Godfrey led off for Carolina and provided great run support by scoring three runs. Johan Camargo added a hit in today's game and extended his hit streak to four games. Tyler Brosius started and pitched very well for the Mudcats. He allowed just four hits in six innings pitched. He only walked one and struck out four while on the bump. Andy Otero was tabbed with his second save of the season while going three innings with three hits and one run.

Sean Furney was pinned with his first loss in his past three starts. Rome matched Hagerstown each inning except in the fourth where the Suns scored a run. The most exciting inning came in the sixth inning where there were eight runs scored in total by both teams. Ozhaino Albies picked up a trio of hits and moved his hitting streak to five games. In those fives games, Albies had four multi-hit games. Tanner Krietemeier connected with three hits in the game and has gone 7-14 in his past three games. Sadly for Krietemeier, he started his season by going hitless in his first eight games and 27 at-bats.
