Gwinnett got a big day offensively from Eury Perez and some strong pitching from Manny Banuelos and the bullpen in a 6-1 win over Columbus. Eury Perez led off the game with a double and later scored on another double by Cedric Hunter to stake the Braves to an early 1-0 lead. Perez came to the plate again in the third and led off the inning with his second home run of the season to increase the Gwinnett lead to 2-0.
The Braves would blow the game open in the fourth adding four more runs with the big blow coming off the bat of Hunter with a bases-loaded single that scored both Daniel Castro and Mycal Jones. Manny Banuelos allowed a single run in the fifth inning before being replaced by David Carpenter. The Gwinnett bullpen closed things out with 4 2/3 innings of hitless baseball to seal the win.

Mississippi got off to a fast start on Saturday in a 6-0 win over Jacksonville. The Braves plated three runs in the first inning on a two-run single by KD Kang and an RBI double by Kevin Ahrens. The pitching staff took over from there with Jorge Reyes in full control. Reyes allowed just three hits over five innings and picked up his fifth win of the season. Mark Lamm and Andrew Robinson combined for four scoreless innings of relief to close things out.

Seth Webster was the tough luck loser for the Carolina Mudcats in a 1-0 loss to Wilmington. Webster allowed just six hits and one run over seven innings. The run scored on a groundout in the fifth by Wilmington's Dexter Kjerstad. The Mudcats has a good scoring opportunity in the eighth after Johan Camargo led off the inning with a double. Levi Hyams bunted him to third and Keith Curcio followed with an infield single, but Camargo was unable to score on the play. Connor Lien then struck out with runners at the corners and Sean Godfrey grounded out to end the inning.

Joseph Daris' two-run triple capped off a five-run fourth inning helped lead the Rome Braves to a 9-5 win over Savannah. Braxton Davidson had a tough day at the plate with three strikeouts but launched his fourth home run of the season in the seventh. Daris, Omar Obregon and Matt Tellor finished with two hits each. Oriel L Caicedo picked up his second win of the season allowing one run over three innings in relief of starter Zach Quintana.
