Word first broke of the Yankees scouting Jose Peraza in Gwinnett a couple of days ago, but apparently today is the day everyone wants to talk about it.
#Yankees redirect scout to Gwinnett to see #Braves Peraza.

This shouldn't be much of a surprise given the current state of the Yankees' middle infield. Who wouldn't want a 20-year-old top-50 prospect who tore up Double-A last season? He could play either second base or shortstop in New York.
The Yankees have a handful of intriguing prospects in their system, including pitcher Luis Severino and massive outfielder Aaron Judge. Peraza would command quite the return should he be traded, and it's unclear if the Braves would even entertain a phone call.
I was told by a #Braves official yesterday that it was complete fabrication. For now, that's what I've heard. https://t.co/YUwLugK5o9

That's worth taking with a grain of salt, of course. John Hart and John Coppolella haven't been shy in their first six months, and it really shouldn't surprise anyone if any player in the system gets traded at this point.
