The Atlanta Braves continue to play it safe with shortstop Andrelton Simmons who is recovering from a strained oblique. MLB.com's Mark Bowman reports that it appears that Simmons has fully recovered from the injury but that the Braves are likely to hold him out of games until next week.

Atlanta begins its Grapefruit League schedule on Wednesday against the New York Mets.
Simmons had been limited in his workouts throughout the first days of camp due to the oblique. The Braves rightly are playing it safe as oblique injuries tend to linger and can become serious and take a lot of time to heal. If Bowman is correct, Simmons could make his spring training debut on Monday against the Washington Nationals.
