Gwinnett's offense remained scorching hot against Charlotte yesterday. Pedro Beato allowed a run in an inning following Stewart, but Carlos Fisher closed it out with two perfect innings. Joey Terdoslavich homered in his fifth consecutive game, launching his fourteenth long ball of the year. He also reached three times via walks. Missisippi won last night to take 4 out of 5 games in Mobile against the BayBears. Mitch Atkins took the ball for the M-Braves and had an okay outing, allowing three runs but striking out seven in six innings. Brandon Cunniff and Ryne Harper combined to shut out Mobile for the remaining three innings of the game, with Harper's three-strikeout outing being especially impressive. Kyle Wren did well as a catalyst at the top of the lineup, doubling and singling. Kyle Kubitza had an odd night--he was caught stealing and committed his 24th error of the year, but also reached on three of five tries at the plate. Kubitza gonna Kubitza, I guess. David Rohm also had two hits. Mississippi returns home to Pearl to begin a series against Birmingham tonight with Jason Hursh slated to start.
Lynchburg Hillcats vs. Potomac Nationals: Canceled, rain
The 'Cats and Nats were rained out yet again yesterday evening. It's their last series against the Nats of the year, so they won't make the game up.
The final meeting of the #Hillcats and P-Nats has been banged. Game will not be made up.

Danville continued their recent slide last night, losing 3-2 to Johnson City. Max Povse pitched three innings in his start before a rain delay, and didn't fare too well. He gave up a pair of runs on three hits and three walks and struck out three hitters. Luis Miranda threw three innings of no-hit ball following Povse. Tyler Vail surrendered the go-ahead run in his relief stint, and Michael Flores tossed a scoreless ninth. Ozhaino Albies didn't get a hit yesterday, but provided value in other ways, walking twice and stealing a pair of bases. Jordan Edgerton doubled and Tanner Murphy had an RBI single, but other than that, Danville's bats, including that of Braxton Davidson, were quiet. Andry Ubiera will pitch against the Cardinals tonight.

Carlos Pérez made another rehab appearance and did alright, allowing an unearned run due to a Dylan Manwaring throwing error after a walk. He struck out two hitters and didn't walk anyone. Jordany Santana came in as the de facto starter and threw well, allowing a run on four hits and a walk in six innings. Stephen Gaylor, a product of Berry College in Rome who was recently signed as a UDFA, had a nice day at the top of the lineup, doubling, singling, and walking in five tries. John Franco also did well, with a pair of hits and RBIs. Alejandro Flores entered the game as a defensive replacement for Carlos Martinez and smacked his third homer of the year. The GCL squad will play host to the Astros this afternoon.
