Kyle Wren steals home

Rome Braves

For the second time in the past week, a Mississippi player stole home. After Jose Peraza swiped home a handful of games ago, Kyle Wren did it again last night.

The Peraza/Wren tandem has been wreaking havoc across the minors since Wren was drafted by the Braves last June. They have moved together from Rome to Lynchburg to Mississippi, teaming up as a formidable 1-2 punch at the top of the lineup. Since the beginning of last year, Peraza is 105-for-130 (80.8 percent) while Wren has been a tick better going 72-for-89 (80.9 percent) in a little over a years worth of games. Wren will need to leverage his speed in every way possible to give himself a shot as a future fourth outfielder.
