Rome gave up nine runs, seven earned, taking a 9-4 loss to Greenville. Rome's staff now has a 5.31 ERA on the season. At the plate, Johan Camargo tripled, doubled and walked, scoring two of the four Rome runs. Getting the start at catcher, Victor Caratini reached twice, upping his slash line to .280/.346/.402 this season. The offense as a whole had a decent game reaching 15 times, but left 10 runners on base, resulting in the low run total.

Danville also resumes Wednesday as Alec Grosser toes the rubber against Bristol.

Matt Lipka highlighted the GCL offense, dropping two doubles and a single in a 6-3 loss over the Jays GCL squad. Hopfeully he returns to Mississippi within a few days and can get his season underway after having an impressive spring in Braves camp. Ian Thomas got the start, going two innings in his second rehab outing. He is in a similar boat, hopefully returning to the triple-A level in the coming weeks. Shortstop Ray-Patrick Didder collected a single, his 12th hit in 46 at-bats, supported with a .346 OBP.
