A wild moderator appeared! /OT Thread

Three years ago I left TalkingChop on a year-long trip around the world. Though I have been a moderator since then, I've moved mostly to lurking around the blog. But I'm here to change that once again because I've been called out, rightfully so.

Who am I, you ask? I go by the screen name GoBravesNY....and that's pretty much all you'll ever find out about me because I'm cautious about divulging information online, though no conspiracy theorist. When I first joined TC it was as an escape, especially because I knew no other Braves fans, and I have enjoyed being anonymous during my time at TC and see no reason to change that.

Anyway, I'm a moderator here at TC who needs to do a better job of moderating. Though I've only been lurking I have seen how bad the comments section can get so I'll do my best to keep that under control.

While we're on the subject I'll take this opportunity to go over a few ground rules here at TC. The official Community Guidelines can be found linked here. I ask that you try and adhere to those.

I come from what's been dubbed the "Silver Age" of TC, or as I thought of it Generation II. The more time you spend here the more you realize people drop in and out and you'll find waves of active participants. In the "Silver Age"/Gen II we had the following resources, which are still relevant and a good read for anyone who wants to be a part of TC, regardless of how long you've been here:

1. Welcome Guide

2. Community Guidelines. Please read this.

3. How To: FanPosts and FanShots

4. Commenting Tips

Fun Fact interlude: When I joined the blog, Scott Coleman and Jacob Petersen both had pseudonyms.

I'll do my best to stay on top of moderating the blog, but if I've missed something please email me; I am a member like you and volunteered to do this extra work. My email, along with the rest of the people who can ban you, can be found on the Masthead. We'll talk about my reintroduction to GameThreads later.

Please flag comments you think are inappropriate. It's the easiest way to make sure things stay under control.

Now that I have your attention, I think it's high time we had another Off Topic Thread. These used to be commonplace around TC and they're always fun things to do.

Reading anything interesting? Movie you're really excited to see? Got a good restaurant recommendation? What's your favorite Braves jersey ever? Got questions on the TC of past? Can't contain your excitement for USA/Belgium? Here's the place to share whatever you want.

This is a Numberwang version of 2048. Do with that what you want, but I haven't done work all day because of it.
