The G-Braves were blanked last night by the Indy Indians, dropping 3-0. Brandon Boggs was the only G-Brave to notch multiple hits, going 2-4. Mark Hamilton notched his 11th double on the season and also drew a walk. Outside that, there wasn't much offense happening at all, really. Gus Schlosser had a pretty rough start, walking 5 men across 5.2 innings en route to allowing 3. Jorge Reyes (better known as that pitcher Jeff Francoeur thought was deaf) made his first appearance for Gwinnett since being promoted from Mississippi. It was a good one, too, as he tossed 2 hitless innings with a pair of punchouts.
File this away in the "Probably means nothing but is slightly intriguing" category: Phil Gosselin played third base last night.
Gwinnett was the only stateside team that played yesterday. The Southern League (AA), Carolina League (A+), and Sally League (A) are all currently observing their All-Star breaks. All three All-Star games will happen tonight.
