Floyd Deals In Win At Coors

Gavin Floyd picked up his win last night as he only allowed three hits and one earned run in 6 2/3 innings from the mound. Chris Johnson paved the way for the offense with a three-hit night and Evan Gattis continues to be a solid run producer. All of a sudden the Braves are tied with the Nationals with a 33-29 record.

Rumors: Braves To Trade Starting Pitcher

Word has it that the team could trade a starting pitcher in the next few weeks to receive bullpen help. Right now there is a surplus of starters on the team and in Scott Coleman's article he acknowledges that Floyd or Aaron Harang could possibly be traded. I miss Jonny Venters. Where's Jonny at?!

Weekly Ratings

Jason Heyward has in fact been the best player of late for the Braves. After batting .284 in the month of May he is doing even better in June with a .323 mark and two home runs to go along with six RBIs in just seven games. There is no longer any concern about the star right fielder.

Pitching Heavy In The Draft

The Braves selected 10 pitchers in the MLB Draft as they look to keep building the organization up on what has made it so strong. Their first round pick of Braxton Davidson bodes well for the future of their offense too.

All Star Voting-Vote The Braves In!

The most likely members of the team to get in to the All Star game this season will be Andrelton Simmons, Freddie Freeman, Evan Gattis and Justin Upton. Of course Julio Teheran and Craig Kimbrel already basically have a spot on the team. Keep on sending out your votes on MLB.com so we can have a major reason to cheer on the NL squad besides just for winning home field advantage in the World Series.

Walden's Return Very Welcomed

Jordan Walden has been gone for too long and we have seen the Braves bullpen struggle mightily at times. He may just be the solution as he will make up for a struggling David Carpenter the team hopes. He struck out five of the eight batters he faced in completing his rehab stint in Triple-A Gwinnett.

La Stella's Pop

If you don't like Tommy La Stella then you must be crazy, because he is down right awesome and fun to watch. Coming in to the series last night against the Rockies he was batting .400 with 12 hits in his first nine games in the BIGS.

Heyward's Impressed

J-Hey is just one of the many that is super impressed with TLS.

MLB NEWS

Chisenhall's Big Night

Lonnie Chisenhall completed a feat he will probably never do in his career, as he belted three home runs in the Indians 17-7 rout of the Texas Rangers.

Nats Stay Tied For NL East Lead

Stephen Strasburg was dominant and Ian Desmond drove in five runs in their 9-2 win over the Giants.

Do The A's Have Enough Good Pitching

The Moneyball strategy may work for the regular season, but when postseason rolls along it pretty much goes out the door. This FoxSports.com article debates on whether or not the A's have enough pitching to win in the postseason.
