LHP Mike Minor will make his first start of the season on Friday vs. San Francisco.— Atlanta Braves (@Braves) April 29, 2014
Some are worried about Minor's rehab starts being less than ideal, but don't be. He was just working on getting back to speed and being able to throw all of his pitches. Results are of tertiary importance, at best.
Of course, with Minor's return, one of Atlanta's stellar starting five will be bumped. And it looks like David Hale is that guy.
Hale said he was told he's in the bullpen for today. Doesn't know yet what that means for next time his spot comes up— David O'Brien (@ajcbraves) April 29, 2014
Whether Hale will remain in the bullpen long term or go back to AAA Gwinnett to stay stretched out is unknown at the moment. We'll keep you updated when we find out more. And remember, Hale will have plenty of chances to stick in Atlanta's future rotation going forward. It sucks for him, but it is in no way an indictment of his pitching.
