It saddens me to announce that Mark Smith will be retiring from baseball writing. Mark is a great writer and I am glad that I had a chance to work with him at Capitol Avenue Club and at Talking Chop. Mark was exactly what CAC stood for and he carried his same great analysis over to TC. Mark will still work with us on podcasts and may write from time to time, but for now he is moving on to different things.
With that said, we were looking for someone to fill his role and feel that we found a great candidate in Harris Nye. If you follow Harris on twitter, you know he is a great baseball mind and we are happy to have him on board. Harris will join us as an analyst doing mainly sabermetric breakdowns of players and transactions. Below is his bio. Take a moment and welcome Harris to the team. As always, we are consistently looking for new talent and the best way to get noticed is to write some articles as Fan Posts.
Harris: My name is Harris Nye and I am a lifelong Braves fan from Charlotte NC. I attended The Citadel as an English major and the best decision I ever made in my life was not going to law school. I love whiskey, Jason Heyward, Cam Newton, country music, Tim Duncan, Christian Eriksen, Obi-Wan Kenobi, Trey Parker & Arya Stark. Follow me on twitter @HarrisNye where I mostly tweet about Game of Thrones and bemoan how Mike Trout could have been a Braves player.
