As expected by anyone who watches baseball, Justin Upton has been named the National League Player of the Week. The younger Upton lead the Braves to four wins, including a three-game sweep of the Nationals. He hit .591 in that time span with four home runs and eight RBI.
Upton topped off his stellar week by leading the majors in batting average, on-base percentage at .698 and slugging percentage at 1.227. Dating back to Friday night's walk-off bloop single victory, he'd gone 11-for-14 with four homers and two doubles in those plate appearances.
