Braves TV hamstring

I'm tired of hearing about the Braves TV deal hurting them. It is an excuse and everybody seems to be buying. When Liberty purchases/acquired the Braves, they knew exactly what the TV deal was. I bet they ran a few financial projections including the TV revenues before they agreed to the deal. My point is the purchase price of the Braves was discounted for the less than market TV revenues and probably further discounted for the long term nature of that burdensome contract. So, Time Warner reduced the price to offset for this TV deal.

My point of view is that Liberty got a discount at the time of purchase and now people are claiming there is a short fall. The short fall was created because Liberty took the money off the table.
