In what has to be a surprise to absolutely nobody who watched at least 2 Braves games this season, Andrelton Simmons and Jason Heyward have both been nominated for Golden Gloves at their respective positions. Heyward and Simmons were 1 and 2, respectively on the MLB DRS leaderboards, both were at the top of their respective positions in UZR and UZR/150, and they also passed the eye test in spectacular fashion, so they'll probably be the favorites to bring home the hardware.

What was surprising is that Justin Upton received a nod for a Gold Glove.

Granted, J-Up isn't a disaster in left field (like a certain white bear that we all know and love), but Gold Glove caliber? Hardly, but this is the same award that Derek Jeter won countless times in the latter stages of his career, so if Jeetz could win it at that stage of his career, then it's feasible that Justin Upton could at least be nominated. As big of favorites that Heyward and Simmons are to win Gold Gloves, that's probably how big of an underdog that J-Up is.

But what do you guys make of this? Got any Gold Glove predictions out there?
