It's an even year, you know?
After a disastrous sixth inning in yesterday's Game 4 that saw Matt Adams make a pair of errant throws that helped the Giants score three runs and take a 6-4 lead that they wouldn't relinquish, the Cardinals find themselves in an unenviable position down three games to one to the Giants. Things don't appear to be in their favor tonight either, as they'll have to face Madison Bumgarner in an elimination game at AT&T Park. Fortunately for them, they'll counter with Adam Wainwright, who's a pretty decent pitcher himself.
Nonetheless, the Giants will win tonight because it's an even year, and they'll advance to the World Series and crush America's sweetheart because it's an even year, as I've mentioned. It's just how things are. I'm sorry.
