Greg Maddux Will Not Be Unanimously Voted Into the Hall of Fame

USA TODAY Sports

An MLB.com Reporter Did Not Vote for Greg Maddux

It was a long shot, but there was some hope that Greg Maddux would be the first unanimous selection into Major League Baseball's Hall of Fame.

The announcement will officially be unveiled tomorrow at 2:00pm on MLB Network, but Ken Gurnick only voted for Jack Morris and not Greg Maddux or any other deserving candidates.

So what is Gurnick's reasoning for not voting for Maddux? It is that he will not vote for anyone who played in the era of PED use. To me, that is absolutely ridiculous. I am not a huge fan of the HOF process and I do not get caught up in all of the hoopla that a lot of other writers do during HOF season, but this is just flat out absurd.
