Braves Caravan Roundup: Week One

Kevin C. Cox

The Braves spent the first week of the Caravan in Atlanta, Greenville, Nashville and Huntsville.

The Braves had a full first week of the Caravan, including some unannounced stops and events with season ticket holders. First Evan Gattis, Anthony Varvaro, Alex Wood and Scott Fletcher stopped by an Atlanta middle school for an anti-bullying rally.

They followed up the visit with a signing at the Newnan Academy + Sports.

The next day, David Hale and Gattis headed up to South Carolina and visited some patients at the Shriners Hospital in Greenville.

They hit up the Greenville Academy and signed autographs for fans.

Thursday included an unannounced visit from Brandon Beachy, BJ UptonTyler Pastornicky and Roger McDowell to Regan High School and bowling with season ticket holders.

Friday was spent in Atlanta, with Chris Johnson, Todd Cunningham, Brian Snitker, Terry Pendleton and Pastornicky hanging out at Brumby Elementary.

Next was a signing at the Snellville Academy.

Saturday was spent in Nashville with Cory Gearrin (and his crazy new beard), Christian Bethancourt, J.R. Graham, Gus Schlosser and Doug Dascenzo.

The Braves ended the weekend with some dog walking in Atlanta then headed out to the Huntsville Academy.

The Braves have seven more stops scheduled for the rest of the week, including one in Macon which I'm sadly going to miss. Have you been to one yet? Any great experiences?
