Every season, many players are put on waivers and offers are made after the trade deadline, but you usually don't hear specifics about what offers are made for whom. We have a report about a trade offer the Braves received from the Rangers for J. Upton.
Bob Nightengale from USA Today reported that the Rangers offered SP Matt Garza, RP Joe Nathan and OF David Murphy for Upton. (Story report from KFFL: http://www.kffl.com/hotw/MLB?all=1#ixzz2foj2DY3W)
If the Rangers offered that for BJ Upton, I'm thinking there's a chance there'd be a new CF in Texas...although given how badly we got fleeced on the Teixeira deal, I honestly would be fine never trading with the Rangers again. Any thoughts about the offer?
