Joe Bisenius, SP: 5 IP, 8 H, 4 R(2 ER), 3 BB, 4 K - 5.31 ERA
Cory Rasmus, RP: 1 IP, 0 H, 0 R, 0 BB, 1 K - 2.05 ERA
Gwinnett won 8-4 last night behind some rare power from Phil Gosselin. Gwinnett's second baseman cranked his 2nd homer of the year and also added in a 2 RBI single to lead the attack. Brandon Boggs and Todd Cunningham each added a pair of hits as well, and Cunningham swiped his 15th bag of the season. Joe Bisenius danced out of trouble all night, allowing only 2 runs despite 11 baserunners in 5 innings. Bisenius moved to 3-1 on the year despite an ugly 5.31 ERA. Cory Rasmus pitched a perfect 9th inning, lowering his AAA ERA to 2.05.
Aaron Northcraft, SP: 3.1 IP, 5 H, 5 R(3 ER), 4 BB, 2 K - 4.30 ERA
James Hoyt, RP: 2 IP, 0 H, 0 R, 0 BB, 3 K - 1.72 ERA
Mississippi got contributions on offense from all the usual suspects, but couldn't dig out of the hole that Aaron Northcraft had dug. Northcraft's command deserted him tonight, as he walked 4 in 5 innings en route to allowing 5 runs (3 earned). He only managed to strike out 2 men, and fell to a miserable 3-8 on the year. Edward Salcedo had the big blast for Mississippi tonight: a 3 run bomb in the 8th, his 10th of the year. Robby Hefflinger reached base twice, and has now reached 10 times in the last 7 games after a slow start at the AA level.
Carolina Mudcats 6, Lynchburg Hillcats 0
Matt Lipka, CF: 1-4, 2 K - .284
David Rohm, RF: 2-4 - .297
Shawn McGill, C: 2-4, 2B, 2 K - .278

Wilson Rivera, RP: 1 IP, 1 H, 0 R, 0 BB, 2 K - 2.09 ERA
Not too much to say about this game, as the Hillcats were 6-hit by the Mudcats. David Rohm and Shawn McGill combined for 2/3rds of Lynchburg's hits. Ryan Weber didn't pitch particularly poorly, giving up 4 runs on 7 hits over 7 innings. He also posted an excellent 6/0 K/BB ratio.
Danville Braves 8, Bristol White Sox 6
Jacob Schrader, 1B: 3-5, 2B, HR(2), 2 RBI, 2 R, 2 K - .190
Andry Ubiera, SP: 3.2 IP, 9 H, 6 R(3 ER), 1 BB, 4 K - 4.42 ERA
Jordan Sechler, RP: 2 IP, 1 H, 0 R, 0 BB, 3 K - 1.42 ERA
Matt Kimbrel, RP: 2.1 IP, 1 H, 0 R, 0 BB, 1 K - 2.70 ERA
Michael Swanner, RP: 1 IP, 0 R, 0 BB, 0 K - 1.93 ERA
Danville got the fireworks started early last night, scoring all 8 of their runs by the 3rd inning. 27th round pick Jacob Schrader did the heavy lifting, falling a triple short of the cycle. Schrader has struggled so far with Danville, but has notched 4 extra base hits in his last two games, so hopefully he's getting his bat on track. Right fielder Alejandro Piloto really filled up the stat sheet last night, notching a single, double, walk, stolen base, and outfield assist. Connor Lien continued to flourish hitting leadoff for the D-Braves, going 2-4 with a triple and a steal. Andry Ubiera got really roughed up, but the bullpen stepped up in a big way, firing 5.1 innings of 2-hit ball to preserve Danville's win.
