According to multiple sources the Atlanta Braves have called up outfielder Joey Terdoslavich from AAA Gwinnett. At this time the corresponding roster move has not been announced, but given the position Terdoslavich plays and the injury to Jordan Schafer, it is believed that a DL stint for Schafer is the the most likely scenario.
The switch hitting Terdoslavich had been hitting for a robust .318/.359/.567 line in AAA Gwinnett with passable corner outfielder defense. It is no longer believed he'd be any sort of regular option at third base, but he seemingly could fill in there in an emergency, with first base also being an option if needed.
Terdoslavich has been an extra base machine with 18 homers and 24 doubles already this season. Given the Braves' depleted bench he likely immediately becomes the team's best pinch hitting option.
edit: As Dan notes, Terdoslavich himself has confirmed the call up.
edit: Mark Bowman has confirmed that Jordan Schafer has been placed on the 15 day DL
