For fans who are missing the Atlanta Braves while they're in Chicago, former Braves Sid Bream and Mark Wohlers will be appearing at the Coolray Field for Gwinnett's game tomorrow, July 21 vs. the Indianapolis Indians. Bream and Wohlers will be on hand to throw out first pitches, sign autographs, and take part in Meet-and-Greets.
Both will sign for the public for two hours prior to the game, and then individually meet with preselected ticket holders before throwing out first pitches before the 5:05 p.m. start. Fans can then get one item autographed by each from 5:30-7:30 p.m.
Meanwhile in Atlanta, the Atlanta Braves Foundation is gearing up for its annual Weekend. During each game of the July 26-28 series vs. the St. Louis Cardinals, fans can visit the Hank Aaron Room at Aisle 128 to purchase memorabilia from the Braves, other sports teams, and celebrities.
Additionally on Friday night, through the Braves Strike Out Hunger promotion, fans can donate 20 canned goods or $20 to meet and receive an autograph from Braves pitcher Jordan Walden. This season-long promotion benefits the Atlanta Community Food Bank, and more information can be found here.
Tickets still remain for the inaugural Batting Practice Under the Lights after Saturday's game. For $425 per person, fans get a dugout level ticket, postgame batting practice with former Braves Marquis Grissom, Pete Smith, and Zane Smith, and the opportunities to shag balls in the outfield and take pictures in the Braves dugout. Tickets can be purchased here.
The weekend also includes a silent auction. Additionally, fans can support the Atlanta Braves Foundation at every game by purchasing tickets for the 50/50 raffle. The non-profit organization supports metro Atlanta-based community programs.
