According to Tom Hart, the Braves will announce a tweak to the rotation shortly. I have to think it has to do with Alex Wood. Who the counterparty is is difficult to guess at this point. We will update the post accordingly.
UPDATE:
#Braves rotation coming out of the break: Hudson (Fri.) Maholm (Sat.) Minor (Sun.) Teheran (July 22) Medlen (July 23)
— Mark Bowman (@mlbbowman) July 14, 2013
So apparently the tweak is just that Hudson and Maholm flip flopped as did Teheran and Medlen. That is the rotation to start the second half. The team seems to want to give Medlen a bit of a break following his two poor starts. Hopefully the time off lets him get back on track.
Bowman also thinks that Alex Wood will come up and take someone's rotation spot after at least one minor league start. I agree with the move but I am a bit less confident that it will happen that way, but Mark is the one with the sources. Wood is probably at least as good as the 3-5 starters at this point and if the Braves want him in the rotation next year, they will need to add some innings to his arm this year.
