Fans in New York City for the All-Star Game events have the opportunity to meet Braves legend Phil Niekro on Sunday, July 14. Time Warner Cable has regional themed food trucks scheduled to appear throughout the city all week. Niekro will be serving fried chicken behind the counter of the Atlanta truck from 12-2 p.m. at 422 E 14th Street.
The truck will be there from 11 a.m.-4 p.m. All contributions to food truck sales will be donated to the Robin Hood Relief Fund which supports those impacted by Hurricane Sandy. A full schedule of food truck locations is available at TWC.com/MLBAllStarWeek.
Niekro will also be hosting a baseball clinic from 11-11:30 a.m. on Monday, July 15th as part of the All-Star FanFest at the Javits Center. He will then have a photo op from 10-10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, July 16th followed by a question & answer session from 11-11:30 a.m. The schedule of other legends to appear and ticket information can be found at the All-Star FanFest site.
Additionally, as the Official Wi-Fi Provider of All-Star Week, Time Warner Cable's Wi-Fi network of over 2,700 hotspots is open for free to all baseball fans in the city. Fans attending All-Star Week events can utilize the free Wi-Fi to share photos from events using the hashtag #EnjoyBaseballBetter.
