Joey Terdoslavich went deep and the Braves completed an organizational sweep!

  • Joey Terdoslavich, RF-1B: 1-4, HR(15), 2 RBI - .309/.344/.556
  • Ernesto Mejia, 1B-3B: 2-4, 2B - .251/.338/.522
  • Todd Cunningham, CF: 2-5, R, 2 RBI - .286/.373/.380

  • Wirfin Obispo, RP: 0.1 IP, 0 H, 0 R, 0 BB, 1 K, SV(2) - 3.57 ERA
There may not be anyone in the Braves MiLB system with a hotter power streak than Joey Terdoslavich right now. The G-Braves' corner guy/first baseman hit his 15th home run of the year last night, his fifth in ten games. The two RBI were his 49th and 50th on the year as well. Ernesto Mejia and Todd Cunningham chipped in with two hits apiece as well. Yohan Flande started for Gwinnett and was not sharp, allowing 8 baserunners and 3 runs over 5 innings. Kameron Loe continues to rehab for a potential comeback, and looked sharp in one inning of work tonight. With Cory Rasmus still in transit, Wirfin Obispo picked up his second save of the year, a cheap one-out job.

Birmingham Barons 5, Mississippi Braves 7
  • Edward Salcedo, 3B: 1-4, 2B, 3 K - .274/.337/.440
  • Jose Martinez, RF: 1-3, BB, 2 K - .297/.360/.387
  • Braeden Schlehuber, C: 1-4, 2 RBI, R, SB(2) - .215/.270/.355
  • Myke Jones, CF: 1-3, R, SB(17) - .215/.302/.299
  • Mitch Atkins, SP: 5.2 IP, 6 H, 5 R, 3 BB, 9 K - 4.67 ERA
  • Mark Lamm, RP: 1.2 IP, 2 H, 0 R, 0 BB, 2 K, SV(9) - 1.86 ERA
The M-Braves knocked off the Barons last night thanks to a seven run fourth inning, highlighted by a delayed steal of home by catcher(!) Braeden Schlehuber. Myke Jones stole second, and Schlehuber swiped home on the delay. It was Jones's 17th steal of the year. The athletic center has always has plus speed, it's the hitting part of the game that's eluded him so far. Edward Salcedo chipped in with a double (though he also struck out three times.) Mitch Atkins picked up the win for the M-Braves despite not being sharp. He allowed 5 runs in just under 6 innings, but he did strike out nine. Mark Lamm picked up his 9th save of the year, lowering his ERA to 1.86 in the process. On the year, the former Vanderbilt standout has posted a 42/17 K/BB ratio in 38.2 innings.

DSL Braves 6, DSL Brewers 2
  • Carlos Castro, 1B: 2-4, R, RBI, K - .256/.279/.385
  • Yeudi Grullon, 2B: 1-5, R, RBI - .265/.359/.294
  • Carlos Martinez, C: 1-4, 2 RBI, K - .200/.333/.200
  • Felix Falcon, SP: 5 IP, 2 H, 2 R, 1 BB, 4 K - 3.68
  • Jesus Jones, RP: 1 IP, 0 H, 0 R, 0 BB, 1 K - 0.00 ERA
  • Evertz Orozco, RP: 1 IP, 1 H, 0 R, 0 BB, 1 K - 13.50 ERA
The DSL Braves beat the Brewers last night, completing the organizational sweep! (That's where every team in the organization, majors and minors, wins that day.) Carlos Castro, who hit his first homer yesterday, was the only DSL Brave to record a multi-hit game, going 2-4 with an RBI and a run. Felix Falcon (probably the best name in our minors) picked up his second win of the year, allowing 2 runs over 5 innings. He walked one and whiffed 4.
