Tommy La Stella led an offensive explosion for Mississippi, Joey Terdoslavich homered for Gwinnett, Greg Ross had a stellar debut for Lynchburg, and Lucas Sims, Frank Lafreniere, and Josh Elander excelled in a doubleheader for Rome.

Joey Terdoslavich his his sixth homer of the season, and in his last 3 games, he's gone 4-11. Despite homering yesterday, Jordan Parraz was hitting just .141 with a .550 OPS in 78 at bats and he was released today. He was replaced on the roster by Brandon Boggs, who was hitting .184 with a .608 OPS in 76 at bats with Rochester before he was released by the Twins organization on Saturday. The 30 year old switch hitter is from Marietta and went to Georgia Tech, and has hit .209 with a .695 OPS, 10 homers, and 43 RBI in 382 plate appearances in 4 Major League seasons with the Rangers and Brewers. Ernesto Mejia is still leading the International League with 8 homers, but he's gone 0-20 so far in May and has gone just 2-31 with 16 strikeouts in his last 10 games. For the year, he's hitting .224 with a .836 OPS and 40 strikeouts in 107 at bats. After allowing 6 earned runs in just 3 innings his last time out, Daniel Rodriguez had a solid night, allowing 3 runs, 2 earned, in 6 innings of work. The 28 year old lefty is showing the same electric, but wild arm he showed in the Mexican League, with 6.8 BB/9 and 10.7 K/9 in 27.2 innings over 7 starts.

Sean Gilmartin will take the mound against Paw Sox starter Terry Doyle on Wednesday as the G-Braves look to end their 10 game losing streak.

The M-Braves demolished the Biscuits tonight, scoring 19 runs on 19 hits, led by their newest player, second baseman Tommy La Stella, who had a 3 hit debut, clubbing out a pair of doubles and a triple while driving in 4 runs. He formed a dynamic duo at the top of the lineup with Phil Gosselin, who's likely to lose a lot of playing time at second base, as the two hitters combined to go 7-12 with 3 doubles, a triple, and 6 RBI. Gosselin's 4 hit day is even more impressive since he'd missed the last week with an injury. In his last 10 games, he's hitting .359 with a .855 OPS, 3 doubles, and 3 RBI. Christian Marrero has gone 5-16 with 2 doubles and 3 walks in his last 4 games. In his last 9 games, Barrett Kleinknecht has gone 12-29 with 3 doubles, 2 homers, 12 RBI, and 4 walks. The 23 year old righty, who was traded to the Tigers as the player to be named later for Jeff Baker only to return to the Braves as a free agent at the end of Spring Training after the Tigers released him, has been dominant this year, with a 1.11 ER and a 0.86 WHIP in 24.1 innings over 8 games with Rome and Lynchburg, walking just 1 while striking out 22. Matt Lipka has gone 5-13 with 2 doubles, a homer, and 2 RBI in his last 3 games.
