Tennessee Smokies 0, Mississippi Braves 8
- Mycal Jones CF - 2-4 2B(4), RBI(8), BB, K, .208 Avg
- Jose Martinez RF - 2-5 2 RBI(17), K, .299 Avg
- Edward Salcedo 3B - 1-3 2 BB, K, SB(6), .266 Avg

- Gus Schlosser 7IP 4H 0R 2BB 5K 3.68 ERA
- Cody Martin 2IP 0H 0R 0BB 2K 3.32 ERA
Mississippi's win keeps them in first place in their division and clinches a series win with one game left to play against the Smokies. Gus Schlosser put together his third straight solid start. In his last three outings Schlosser has pitched 19 innings while allowing 9 hits and 0 runs with 17 strikeouts. Cody Martin may finally be making the transition to the bullpen that has been projected for him since the Braves drafted him. In seven appearances this season he has started just three and has not pitched more than four innings in any of his outings.
Wilmington Blue Rocks 2, Lynchburg Hillcats 3
- Tommy La Stella 2B - 1-3 K, .625 Avg
- William Beckwith DH - 0-2 2BB, CS(2), .245 Avg
- Matt Lipka CF - 1-4 3K, .220 Avg
- A.J. Holland 6.2IP 7H 2R 1BB 3K 3.24 ERA
- Nate Hyatt 1IP 0H 0R 0BB 2K 0.75 ERA
The Hillcats won in strange fashion with two runs in the bottom of the ninth for the walkoff win. They loaded the bases on an sacrifice bunt from David Rohm and with two outs scored the winning run on a wild pitch. Tommy La Stella finally recorded his first strikeout this season and actually recorded more outs than times reached base. He is slipping.
Hagerstown Suns @ Rome Braves - PPD Rain
