The G-Braves ended their 14 game losing streak, with rehabbing Jason Heyward driving in 3 runs, plating 2 on a 2nd inning single, and the third on a 6th inning sacrifice fly. In his last 10 games, Joey Terdoslavich is hitting .342 with a .955 OPS, a double, 3 homers, and 9 RBI. Tyler Pastornicky has gone 5-16 with a double, 2 RBI, and 3 walks in his last 4 games. In his last 8 games, Alden Carrithers has gone 11-24 with 2 doubles, a homer, 4 RBI, and 2 walks. Juan Cedeno, a 29 year old lefty, has never appeared in the Majors, but is a veteran of 11 Minor League seasons, including a season in Korea, spending time in the Red Sox, Royals, Dodgers, Tigers, and Yankees organizations. Last season with AAA Scranton-Wilkes Barre, he had a 2.81 ERA and a 1.36 WHIP in 64 innings over 53 appearances. This season with Scranton-Wilkes Barre, he had a 0.82 ERA and a 1.18 WHIP in 11 innings over 10 appearances before he was released on Thursday.

Elmer Reyes had his third straight multi-hit game, and he's gone 7-12 with 3 doubles, a homer, 5 RBI, and a walk in that stretch. Greg Ross was cruising through 5 innings, but allowed a pair of runs in the 6th before being pulled, then reliever Caleb Brewer allowed his third run to score. Still, Ross was able to pick up the win, and he's combined to post a 1.80 ERA, a 0.93 WHIP, 28 strikeouts, and 4 walks in 30 innings between Lynchburg and Rome. After allowing 7 earned runs in 3.1 innings in his start on Thursday, James Hoyt returned to form with a scoreless relief inning today. Wilson Rivera had a wild 9th, walking the bases loaded, but he managed to strike out the side without allowing any runs to score. He only had 6 walks in his previous 16.1 innings this season. He's been wild, but effective, striking out 23 in 17.1 innings.

Lynchburg will look to sweep the 4 game series tomorrow, sending Navery Moore to the mound to face Joe Colon.

He's allowed just 2 earned runs in 10 innings over his last 2 starts, after allowing 7 earned runs in 9 innings in the previous 2 starts. Tyler Tewell hit his second homer of the season, and he's hitting .375 with a 1.048 OPS, 2 homers, and 5 RBI in his last 9 games.
