USA TODAY Sports

An open thread to discuss the Braves' split squad games today against the Astros and Blue Jays

After a strong outing by Julio Teheran in a loss to the Tigers last night, the Braves have their first split squad games of the spring today. Fredi Gonzalez will send half his team - including his starting infield - to take on the Houston Astros, while the remainder will stay behind and welcome the Toronto Blue Jays to the Wide World of Sports.

After Medlen, Cory Rasmus, David Hale, Gus Schlosser, and J.R. Graham are scheduled to get work. Scheduled behind Gilmartin is Cory Gearrin, Cristhian Martinez, David Carpenter, and Yohan Flande.
