Opening Week Rosterbation & OT

The last post ended just short of Opening Day, so here is a new one.

There isn't much to rosterbate about. Think of this as more of a general roster discussion about ours and other teams' rosters. I do have one good story to share though.

The new issue of SI was released a while ago, mainly detailing a Baseball Preview, from none other than Tom Verducci. He's created a good page worth of discussion for every team in the MLB, projected statistics for every player, projected standings and postseason for both leagues, and some other lengthy articles, the first of them being a long article regarding the great increase over the past 5 years, and also lists some references to Professor Maddux and Craig Kimbrel.

Needless to say, the Braves are listed at 95-67, 1st Wild Card, but losing to the 2nd Wild Card LA Dodgers. However, on the personal Braves page as part of the 30-page article of every MLB team, he lists something surprising about Kimbrel. He believes Kimbrel will flame out like Valverde, and has nowhere to go but down now. What's more surprising is that he believes the Braves should trade Kimbrel now to a team in need of a closer for a third baseman because it will be feasible to replace Kimbrel. He lists the Tigers as a suitor, and that the Braves would be wise to trade him for Nick Castellanos.

I have a lot of respect for Verducci, although he comes off as radical sometimes on MLB Network. But this is really a deal breaker for me.

Anything else to share?
