What does this mean...at the mid Spring point.
- Competitive season ahead
- Competitive organizations as far as AAA talent
- None of the East teams will be that dominant
- Wait until propects return to AAA camp to judge
- Come on it is just Spring...nothing matters yet.
These teams have seen each other often in the Grapefruit league and they we have a good bead on each other and should be competitive coming out of the gate. But, our prospects have been out there to get noticed and no one is closing out games which is the difference between winning and losing close games. I think that everyone who has projected the East to have two top 5 teams and two bottom 5 teams suggest that we will have two teams who are quite dominate when regular season play begins. But the difference between a 100 win and 60 win team is just the rubber game in each series. A team that wins 50% off their series is a .500 team. Win over 75% and you will close to 100 wins - win less that 25% you will barely break 60 wins. It is a little early to judge the MLB club when half that playing time is non-roster players. So for teams that want to prove something in the spring will do so as the prospects return to the minor league camp. For those who are just loosing up for a long series will just look to flip the switch at the end of the month.
Even though it does not matter the statistical oddity in the Spring standings makes one think.
