Braves & Saves

Of the 11 pitchers to ever notch 50 saves in a single season (it has been done only 14 times), Craig Kimbrel is the youngest pitcher in major league history to collect 50 saves at 25 years old, eleven years after John Smoltz did it as the oldest 50-save pitcher at 35 years old (in 2002).

They are the only 2 Braves to ever record 40 or more saves (3 times each). Wohlers, Rocker and Wagner all came close to 40 saves.

Kimbrel needs 15 saves to tie Smoltz as the all-time Braves Saves leader.
