As we think of what we are grateful for this Thanksgiving, do note one thing: Be thankful for rosterbation. Rosterbation was what brought together the alien Pilgrims and Native Americans, or whatever according to Professor Kyle Broflovski of DeVry Institute, as he proved on the History Channel. Anyway, time to add some gravy and sweet potatoes lathered with melted marshmallows to your holiday rosterbation.
On a much more realistic note, the Hot Stove is really heating up. The Twins just signed Ricky Nolasco to a deal, and apparently the Rockies are talking to Justin Morneau. In the aftermath of the departures of Tim Hudson and Brian McCann, might the Braves make a splash or two to try to look alive in the market? Probably not. Could the Royals do something stupid, as, per say, take Dan Uggla? Could the Braves take a large look at some big name pitching--Jeff Samardzija, David Price?
Then there's some small stuff to be dealt with. Avilan's the only left-handed pitcher that is in the pen right now. Give it off to Buchter or sign a free agent like J.P. Howell or George Sherrill? You could also tinker around with the bench. Resign Elliot Johnson? Go after any utility guys? This is my idea of the bench for next year:
OF Jordan Schafer
OF/1B Joey Terdoslavich
IF Ramiro Pena
Platoon Mate of La Stella
