Chipper Jones to Throw Out NLDS Game 1 First Pitch

Kevin C. Cox

According to a tweet from Kevin McAlpin, Chipper Jones will be throwing out the ceremonial first pitch for tomorrow's NLDS game one against the Los Angeles Dodgers.

As many of you may know, Chipper grew up a Dodger fan but obviously over 20 years of being affiliated with the Atlanta Braves has swayed his allegiance.

It was fun when Chipper used his twitter account because we had the ability to see him essentially become assimilated as a fan, just like us. He had many of the same comments and opinions we did, with some differing ones as well -- again, just like us. Even though he has retired he has maintained a relationship with the organization and I certainly hope that continues in the future in whatever role Chipper and the organization decide upon.
