Brandon Beachy talks about his recovery from Tommy John surgery

From the Greenville Times website, reporter Scott Keepfer talks with Atlanta Braves pitcher Brandon Beachy about his road back and recovery from Tommy John surgery.

I always like to hear it when pitchers think they are ahead of schedule, or ahead of where they should be. But history has shown us that pretty much all pitchers coming back from Tommy John surgery think they are ahead of schedule, so I take pronouncements like that with a grain of salt and a wait-and-see approach.

The good news is that the Braves shouldn't need Beachy to start the season, and he could be the equivalent of a mid-season trade when he returns to the mound in 2013, likely sometime in August.
