Could Cunningham be the sleeper LF?

I'm curious as to why nobody is talking about Todd Cunningham as the full-time LF or as the LH in a platoon with Reed Johnson. Cunningham hit 322/385/406 vs. righties and 307/363/403 overall at AA last season. I think this scenario is more likely than many realize.

I know this idea isn't as sexy as Gattis or Francisco breaking out and putting up big power numbers, but realistically I think he would likely add more value than either player when you factor in defense and baserunning. I'd love for Gattis to kill it in spring training and win the job, but realistically he will be below average defensively and isn't likely to put up big offensive numbers. I expect Francisco to be decent if given 400+ PA, but I don't like the idea of shuffling Prado between two positions.

Cunningham would give us good contact skills, baserunning, and defense. I also think that if he improves his walk rate a bit he has the potential to be a solid lead-off hitter down the road.
