Atlanta Braves broadcaster and sometimes-pregame/postgame show host Ron Gant will be joining a different kind of show:
Fox 5's "Good Day Atlanta" is adding a fourth member to its "Good Day Atlanta" team: former Atlanta Brave Ron Gant.
He starts next month, joining Gurvir Dhindsa, Karen Graham and Buck Lanford.
Gant had been a Braves analyst the past four years for Fox Sports South.
"He is a good communicator, with an engaging personality and will be a refreshing addition to morning news," said Bill Schneider, general manager, in a statement.
Congrats to Gant. He seems like he'd be perfect for the morning show banter. He's got that easy going attitude and jovial yet still understated laugh that all good morning show hosts need to have.
I enjoy listening to him when he does Braves broadcasts, and I like his commentary and analysis on the pregame and postgame shows. He's grown a lot over the years as a commentator, and I hope he does well in his new job.
