Before you rip on me for making this a FanPost instead of a FanShot: 1) I did not know how to make a FanShot that was not a link, and 2) I really want more people to see this in hopes that someone will help.
Kris Medlen and I share a few mutual friends, and after planning this out for months and talking to him last night now that pitchers have been announced, Kris has agreed to help me propose to my girlfriend during batting practice before the game on Saturday, the 29th.
He and I have already spoken to the Fox Sports folks and they will try to have cameras there to film it and use it as a video bit when announcing him as the probable starter for the next day's game. Now, there is a chance that it being Chipper's last home series *everything* is about Chipper and they don't have time, or care enough, to film this, but all looks to be a go so far.
So my request is:
Does anyone have DVR and/or a DVD recorder? I know that the sale of a MLB game cannot be done without express, written consent from Major League Baseball, but I would very much like to buy a DVD copy of at least that segment, if it airs. If you do not have the time to adequately splice the film, then that is more than fine (just trying to help save time, while making sure my request is still legally acceptable).
If it does not air, then that's fine as well. No harm, no foul. But if it does... this is something that I want to have forever, and unfortunately, no one I know has a DVR/TiVo.
Thanks in advance!
-Chris
