Like many here, Chipper is a personal hero and my all-time favorite player. I won't bore you with details of why, as there have been many more thorough and eloquent posts on the subject already.

I've lived in California for many years now, and have had to watch his career from afar. But I make it habit to don the red and blue and wade through the annoying bandwagon Giants fans for a trek up to AT&T to see him each time our Braves come through.

So here it comes: His last ever stop in the Bay Area (unless we get another playoff matchup) and I am determined to have some kind of encounter with him. Ideally I just want to get a ball signed. I have tickets to both Saturday and Sunday games, the latter of which is the better seats- a few rows up from vistors' dugout.

I plan to go early and stay late, but was wondering if anyone had any tips of getting to meet the old man or get an autograph. Also wondering if any other fans will be in attendance..
Here's hoping this weekend will give me some lasting memories of a true legend of the game.
